Hello once again! I have been thinking about the entryway for quite some time now and after finding some killer inspiration pictures of entryways on Pinterest I can clearly see some similarities. I’ll be dividing this post based on key furniture pieces that I specifically need in my own entry way.

• Mirror

A mirror, one of the most important pieces for your entryway, because come on, you want to check yourself out when you are running out of your house. By now I’m sure you have seen many good looking entryways and you know (oh yes, you know) it can not be any mirror but, THE ROUND MIRROR. I personally love the look because it is soooo simple plus it brings a ton of light to darker corners. Check these bad boys below!

• Bench

You need a bench because if you, like me, live in Europe, taking your shoes off is a real thing here. Big surprise for me since in Puerto Rico we don’t really take our shoes off inside the house. Anyway I’m happy I do now because it keeps the floor clean for longer (WIN). When it comes to the bench we have to keep in mind the size of the room and also how many people will be using it. For our apartment we are looking for a medium size bench, since the space we have is very similar to the picture in the low right. I have been thinking about DIY our bench and if I do I’ll write about it 🙂

*between us, Matej is skeptical about my ability to make this happen so I’m excited to prove him wrong 🙂

• Table

The table will change from room to room depending on your needs. I’m my case we are suffering from lack of storage so we are looking for some sort of cabinets where we can hide the not so glamourous things we have in the entry floor like the smelly sport shoes. For reference here is the floor plan of our apartment entry room.

I have found a cool Ikea hack but I still have no final decision for the table yet. The only thing I know is that we need something thin. Anyway here are couple nice ideas.

• Accessories

I love accessories because it’s with them that you can make a room look cozy and give it personality. So I’ll be adding some plants of course, I’m looking for the right painting for above the table and some nice textured pillow for the bench. I almost forgot about the coat hangers, which are super necessary for winter time. I have bought five single hooks in matt black in a traditional style but I’m sure it will look amazing next to the warm wood from the bench.

Simple right?!
