Christmas Around the House 2024

This year, I wanted to embrace a classic and traditional Christmas theme throughout our home. I didn’t make major changes from the previous year but focused on enhancing the charm of what we already had, sprinkling in some new elements to bring a fresh festive feel. Let me walk you through how we’ve decked the halls, from the front door to my little one’s room!

Entryway

The entry door sets the tone for the season with a simple yet stunning natural wreath adorned with classic red ribbon and gold ornaments. Every year I get small Christmas trees and put them in pots to warmly greet guests before they step inside.

Entryway Table

Inside, our entry table became a festive focal point. I styled it with a vase full of pine branches with some red accents, add simply made ribbon in one of the candle stick. This small detail is just enough to set the Christmas tone.

Living Room

The Christmas tree is always the star of the show! This year, like every year, we visited the tree farm and spend a long time looking for OUR tree. We decorated the tree with white and gold ornaments. I love layering textures like velvet ribbons, sparkling baubles, and glittering snowflakes to give the tree depth and character. Beneath the tree, a cozy blanket.

As always, this room holds a special magic. There’s nothing like cozying up with a mug of hot cocoa and watching the soft glow of the lights reflecting on the ornaments.

Bedroom

The bedroom received a subtle holiday makeover. I hang a wreath between the picture frames and make the bedding look extra comfortable. A small tabletop tree on the nightstand brings a festive twinkle to the space. It’s a simple way to create a cozy and intimate holiday retreat.

Oli’s Bedroom

My son absolutely loves his own mini Christmas trees! 🎄 We let him choose his favorite decorations, and it’s a joyful mix of colorful, fun ornaments that we collect over the years. Seeing his excitement as he decorates is one of my favorite parts of the season.

I also added some festive bedding with holiday patterns, making his room feel like a true winter wonderland. It’s a magical space where he can let his imagination soar and feel the spirit of the season every day.

Decorating for Christmas always brings so much joy to our family. Every little detail, from the tree smell to the soft glow of flickering candles, makes the season feel even more special.

I love how our home feels nostalgic yet fresh, warm yet vibrant—a reflection of all the things that make Christmas magical. I hope these ideas inspire you to create your own cozy, festive spaces this holiday season.

Happy Holidays from my family to yours! 🎅✨
